1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. As you use LaunchPad, we track your course enrollments, lesson progress, assessment scores, certificate completions, and payment history. We also automatically collect technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and access timestamps — for security, analytics, and platform optimization.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your personal data enables us to deliver course content, track your progress, issue verifiable certificates, process payments, and provide technical support. We analyze anonymized usage patterns to improve course quality and platform performance. With your explicit consent, we may send you newsletters, course recommendations, and partnership opportunities. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time through your account settings.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with essential service providers — payment processors (for transaction handling), cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and storage), and email delivery services — all of whom are contractually bound to confidentiality and data protection obligations. We may disclose information when required by Philippine law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest (AES-256), regular third-party security audits, role-based access controls, and intrusion detection systems. Your password is hashed using bcrypt with per-user salts. While we strive to protect your data, no online platform can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication when available.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account remains active. If you delete your account, personal information is permanently removed within thirty (30) days. Anonymized course progress records may be retained indefinitely for statistical and accreditation purposes. Payment records are retained for the period required by Philippine tax law and BIR regulations (minimum ten years).

6. Your Rights Under Philippine Law

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173), you have the right to: (a) be informed about how your data is processed; (b) access your personal data; (c) request correction of inaccurate data; (d) request deletion or blocking of data; (e) object to processing; (f) data portability; and (g) file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. 7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies for authentication, session management, and security. Analytics cookies help us understand how you interact with the platform so we can improve your learning experience. We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect certain platform features.

8. Children's Privacy

LaunchPad is designed for users aged eighteen (18) and above. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under thirteen (13). If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete the account and all associated data within forty-eight (48) hours.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored and processed on secure servers located in the Philippines. If you access LaunchPad from another country, your data may be transferred across international borders. By using our platform, you consent to such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Policy Updates & Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email and an in-platform notice at least fourteen (14) days before taking effect.
